Today, I’ll try to answer the most common question that I am asked every single day.
And that is—”How do I get started with SEO 2.0?”
Let’s dive in!
If you have been following me for a while, you’d heard me talking about SEO 2.0 a lot, to the point where you are sick of hearing about it.
But if you haven’t, I talk about it a lot on my Twitter, but here’s a quick recap.
This is what SEO 2.0 looks like:
and more.
All the SEO gurus and even Google are hinting toward more and more massive changes in SEO in the upcoming years, and that is what we call SEO 2.0.
It is not just about the changes, but also about how we cope with the changes and use these opportunities to make timely growth leaps.
That said, how do you get started with SEO 2.0 for your business?
Before rushing into any hasty retainers or implementing complicated strategies, it is important to take a hard look at your website’s current state.
An all-rounded audit is like a roadmap that will help you take the right direction. If you start implementing SEO without a roadmap, you are bound to wander off in the wrong direction.
You can use the AREP framework to audit your website.
This is a proprietary framework developed by us for our 30-day SEO 2.0 sprint and it has helped 60+ clients so far.
AREP stands for Audit-Research-Execution-Projections.
We answer these questions and more in 30 days to
a) define a complete plan of attack and
b) to give clarity into how a business can grow efficiently.
It's an extremely valuable exercise.
And based on the number of these 30-day deep dives we do, we’re getting an insane amount of learning on a monthly basis!
Recent advancements in AI have been a huge boon for almost every industry you can think of. And same is the case with SEO.
If you think AI makes your content spammy, then you are doing it wrong.
If you think Google penalizes AI content, then you should know that Google doesn’t care if it's AI content.
AI-assisted workflows and automations can be of huge help in reducing effort put in, increasing productivity, improving quality, and getting better ROI.
And most importantly, with AI and automations, you can achieve results 2x or 3x faster.
Backlink building is a huge part of SEO (and SEO 2.0, of course.) But the traditional way of building links—reaching out and asking people to link to you, is not scalable.
Which is why we recommend building and deploying linkable assets which are tools, calculators, quizzes, original research, or any other asset that brings in high-quality backlinks without active outreach.
And the best part? AI has made it so much easier to ideate and create linkable assets. This is the best time to start investing in building linkable assets that bring in results for a long, long time.
Lastly, go multichannel. The future of SEO doesn’t just lie inside Google. Social media platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn, have a vast potential for organic growth.
And, AI has made it super simple and cost-effective to repurpose one piece of content into 10 different pieces of content suitable for different platforms.
User-generated content and community-driven SEO are also great opportunities to start investing in now.
